AIDA Team World Championships, Okinawa: Results CWT day 1

The results are out, but only of day one of the Constant Weight event. - Could this be a plot of the Japanese organisers to keep the suspense up?
With a benign, if somewhat choppy, sea that allowed all the divers to compete almost without any current, the first competition day was very clean with lots of white cards and just the occasional yellow for sheer aesthetic appeal.

It has officially begun, all teams signed in and photos taken.....lots of photos :) It is great to see some of the new faces of freediving and also athletes who have done this before as well as some famous faces of freediving.
We started with the athletes' registration where passports and medical certificates were checked, then outside we were all introduced to the organisers of the competition and the teams of the following countries: Finland, Japan, Russia, USA, Canada, Denmark, Norway, Great Britain, Germany, France, New Zealand, Czech Republic.

The AIDA Team World Championships 2010
Geschrieben von: Richard Wonka Dienstag, 29. Juni 2010 um 20:50 Uhr
We have just arrived at the official hotel, of the AIDA Team World Championships 2010.
Today the last competitors have arrived and tomorrow the event will begin with the registration and opening ceremony. For us these will be busy days, as we will be working as Judges (JILs, to be exact) together with the AIDA Jury. It's all very exciting!
Looking at the list of competitors, we'll get to meet some old friends again and make some new ones as well - it'll just be great, even if I'm sure that the Jury will have our work cut out for us.
