Another Day of Triple Depth

And it goes on. Still in awe-inspiring shape, everyone has appeared once again at the Blue Hole for the Constant Weight day of Triple Depth 2009.
As was expected, the Doc from the hospital found that his official agreement to come would be enough and he wouldn't actually have to show up on site. Here we can see that Mr. Peter is a seasoned expat to Egypt. A Doc was there in no time and the day actually happened.
But what did the day bring? National records, some yellow cards, only one red. All good. For those of You looking for this one: Yes, the red was for a blackout, but Roman was OK, as he clearly stated after coming round.
Some tags disappeared, but Alexey then went on to look for them, since he was going for the bottom of the Blue Hole again anyway - with his mask on. No faffing about with noseclip and fluid goggles for Mr. Molchanov. No Sir. Impressive, but for him that is more of a fun dive anyway.
More impressed I still am by Matt, who had the nerve to complain about "sinus problems" - coming back from an 80m Constant Weight dive. I'd like to have Your problems, Matt. Well done for the National Record anyway and there's a lot more to come from that corner, I think.
Some less official impressions of today's competition:
Meanwhile, we are still a little bit in training, a little bit enjoying what will be our last days in Dahab and Egypt for quite some time! And we're still selling off some of our kit so we won't be carrying that much stuff around with us. Even my spare lanyard that has been with me for quite some time will now be travelling south - to South Africa with John. I do think it has found a loving new home and maybe I'll come visit some day.
So we have another 22 (twenty-two) days of Dahab ahead of us. and then another three in Cairo and that's it! We're crossing the continent!* But we won't be cycling...
Well I'm hungry now. Stay tuned! :)
*For those of You wondering: The Sinai peninsula is actually on the continent of Asia, while the rest of Egypt is in Africa
